Bio:

It was a perfect day outside, gentle breeze, 79 degrees, not too many bugs and the sun felt good on my skin. I sat on some rocks in the middle of the river and let the sounds wash my thoughts away. I realized after some time that the stones in the river summed it all up. I reached down and held the rock in my hand and knew it was the ultimate. It was older than anything else around and it was simple and content and just went where the river went, forever, since the beginning.

My beginning starts in a naturalist's dream in the Star City called Roanoke, Virginia. I was as bored as anyone, but especially enjoyed music and sounds. I received a guitar and amp from my dear friend Charlie and let it sit in the corner for about two months until I decided to make some feedback. That was the threshold. Soon after, I had bought a Boss SP 202 sampler to fulfill my fantasy of making something out of the immaculate sounds I heard around me everyday.

That eventually lead to rocking with Charlie and Suzanne to become The 63 Crayons and produced several albums. Then with J Ward and Brother Sam, we three formed The Riders of the Mark. Great times and inspirational wisdom were gained over the next few years through the meditation of music. Free music. Music of the soul. And enjoying it for the surprises and satisfaction it had in store for me.

Those surreal times lead to even greater opportunities by finally leaving rural Virginia to pursue music out of state in Georgia. Over the past four years I have lived a rock dream; Meeting and playing shows with some of my heroes who have inspired me to make even more music.

Now my quest is exactly that, my own. And I'll continue to follow it to where it may roam. That is my past and present.

And now with my lyrical future in hand and living in Atlanta, my wife has joined with me to form my latest musical incarnation: FreeWitch.

After a substantial amount of combined years in the record and music industry, our goal is now to provide for you our ambient, intergalactic sounds and melodies that we've funkified for your listening pleasure. Bringing to you our unique and appealing cacophony, we hope our eclectic euphoniums and unique ingenuity lift your spirits well into the stratosphere. Together we make the music we savor and take pleasure in sharing with you.

As a member of the Jellyfish Lake Productions artist's collective and in collaboration with our friends Craig W. and John Bartee, we're able to produce some of the freshest material that's been described as making you think you're in a time-warp.

So close your eyes, take a deep breath, plug in your headphones and turn on to the FreeWitch symphony that is sure to transport you to some poetic galaxy far far away. Enjoy the excursion!
