Bio: Mayfair District is an alternative hip-hop duo comprised of two brothers, HEF-Apes and Uncle TuTu. These brothers were born and raised in the city of Fresno, California, located in the Central San Joaquin Valley. The sons of a singer/songwriter father who also played the drums and guitar, this duo has been influenced by music since their time in the womb. As children, the neighborhood in which they lived, the Mayfair District, slowly evolved from a working middle class area to a gang and drug infested addition to Fresno's ‘eastside'. Engulfed by an unfamiliar world, these boys turned to music and poetry as their therapy and solace.
