Bio: Young Duece is an American hip hop and record production duo whom in 2005 formed to create their first full length album, "The Beginning of the End" after splitting from rival groups.
Previn Ricks, Jr (born July 25, 1990), better known by the stage name PJ aka Da Truth was born and raised in Forest Park, Ohio, a northern suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is now very focused on not only writing and making beats, but the final production side of the music as well. He is far beyond his years and considered one of the best audio engineers among all of his peers. He is always looking for new ways to mix, master, and improve the quality of YD's overall sound.
George Clark, III (born September 10, 1990), better known by the stage name Kidd Flow was born and raised on the west side of Dayton, Ohio. He relocated to the Cincinnati area in 2001 with his mother and siblings. His smooth, melodic sound has become a trademark, earning him his stage name. He is constantly coming up with creative ideas and beats that give YD a sound that is truly their own. Flow maintains all of the Young Duece media outlets, and also uses his ability in digital design to come up with album covers, flyers, graphics, etc.
The duo has released four albums and five mixtapes. Being that they have always been their own writers, producers, and engineers, each project shows constant progression.
They have shared the stage with popular artists such as Nappy Roots, Curren$y, Afroman, Mac Miller and more. The two have also been featured on Talib Kweli's "Blacksmith Community Mixtape" (Hosted by DJ Mick Boogie) and Zion-I's "The Search and The Seizure" mixtape after AmpLive heard the song made to his remix of Radiohead's "Weird Fishes/Arpeggi", which was on his popular Rainydayz Remixes album.
Together, these young men are undeniably talented. With much time to mature and progress, their futures shine extremely bright. They're currently focusing on creating new material, from working with major label A&R's to producing full length albums for other artists. The group has also been busy producing soundtracks for potential motion pictures under their production company Nu Theory Productions. How far the entertainment industry will take them? Only time will tell.
