El Kady was finalist in the 1994 Radio France International contest, chosen from 800 participants hailing from 52 countries. This troubadour of modern times is a pioneer and figurehead of World Beat in Canada.
El Kady received the Gold Medal for best author-composer in the World music category at the prestigious international contest SONG EXPO Benelux International 2000 in the Netherlands among more than 1000 participants from many countries.
Among other awards and honors, El Kady has recently received a Certificate of Achievement from the 12th Annual UNISONG International Songwriting Contest and was among the Top 20 Finalist in the World Music category with the song “Ilha Dos Amores”.
El Kady is also a film and video producer and music for film composer. He is a guitarist, percussionist, singer, songwriter and poet.
