Bio: Sgt Dunson is a OIF Veteran of the U.S. Army that that has incorporated his experiences in the military into hip hop music. He considers himself in a different category because he's not an average rapper. Songs like "If I Don't Make It Home" which is a letter written from Iraq to his family and friends talking to them about his last wishes if he wasn't to make it back home from war. Other songs such as "Over There" and "My 1st Kill" where he describes in detail about the first time he had to kill someone at war.
Music plays a very critical role for Sgt Dunson, using this avenue not only to enlighten the citizens of our country about war, but also as support forum for his own sanity. Sgt Dunson beautifully releases his experiences through his music with such emotion and drama giving us that visual that only he saw and felt.
Sgt Dunson is proud to release his next CD, "American Soldier" for all to experience. Listen to what he saw and what he did and how he felt through his own words and music. This new CD has a lead single with the same title. The theme is to tell his audience of the ups and downs and is basically representing those retired from the military, those on active duty and in memoriam to those who have lost their lives for the love of his or her country. Sgt Dunson leaves no stones unturned. His lyrics are explicit, raw with no punch lines. "Just my straight real life feelings towards a subject delivered over a beat", states Sgt Dunson.
Sgt Dunson's first album is called "Soldier Music" which was written on the first half of his deployment to Iraq. His second was "To Hell and Back" which was written in Baghdad, Iraq on his extended portion of his deployment. Now his life progresses to "American Soldier", proud to tell his stories through a cool beat, with great vocals, great technical texturing and wonderful to listen to.
His touring plan is to go to every military installation in the country and outside of the country. He has a show in Ohio on April 30th. This show is in support of Soldiers that are placed in jail after combat which is a subject that he is very passionate about.
