Bio: Auto-Bio My name is Joe Crofton and I write songs. I've been writing songs in some way, shape or form since before I played guitar or knew anything about music. Those early tunes were crude, but they were the beginnings of a life-long ambition. Now, about 25 years and a lot of gigs and musical experience later, I'm finally releasing a professionally mixed and mastered full length solo CD. I've been living in Las Vegas for 10 years. During this time I've been part of 3 bands, each one very different from the others. Over time I have realized that my strongest influences come out of early 1980's "New Wave" music. Bands like Blondie, Talking Heads and Iggy Pop are sonically prevalent in my songwriting. Indeed, living in Las Vegas, I have developed a repertoire of cover songs that include many of these bands biggest hits! Even though I've been in Vegas for 10 years, for the last 4 years I have been without a band. I've been "Surviving Alone" as a solo act and writing and recording these songs.
